Porsche 718 Cayman GTS renewed with automotive air intake manifolds

The globally prominent automotive industry behemoth, Porsche AG, has proudly made it to the headlines for having added all-new, range-topping, state-of-the-art GTS versions to the 718 Cayman and Boxster sport car lineups. If reports are to be believed, Porsche has renewed the 718 Cayman and Boxster models with an extra kit of superior equipment and features, in a bid to combat numerous fuel combustion issues and optimize vehicle efficiency. Porsche’s 718 Cayman and Boxster GTS prototypes apparently fulfill the same and much more, enabling Porsche to strengthen its stance in automotive air intake manifold market.

As per authentic sources, what’s perpetually new in the renewed 718 Cayman and Boxster models is the engine compartment, which encompasses a 2.5-liter turbo flat four engine, the power output of which has been sufficiently upscaled by 15bhp. The engine is claimed to produce 269kW and 430Nm – a substantial 11Kw and 10Nm more than the existing models. Experts cite that the point to be highlighted here is that this increase comes due to a revised air intake system and an engine computer tweak to optimize the overall setup. Furthermore, it is reported that the air intake system, in particular, has led to the new models exhibiting increased output on account of easy air facilitation and fuel distribution for internal combustion. If implemented on other models, Porsche may soon hold a prominent position in automotive air intake manifold industry.

The 718 Cayman and Boxster models reportedly cover the 0-100 km/h sprint in a mere 4.1 seconds with the PDK automatic transmission and the Sport Chromo pack. Not very surprisingly, the fuel consumption is rather modest when the level of performance is considered, which is pegged at 9.1 L/100 km. In visual terms, the models are detailed with black exteriors and black-tinted Bi-Xenon headlamps.

Porsche’s renewed 718 Cayman and Boxster models are likely to make quick inroads in the automotive industry, thereby encouraging fellow rivals to ante up their engines with air intake systems. Subsequently, this would culminate into lucrative sales and upswing automotive air intake manifold market.
