India smart speaker market witnesses Harman’s brand-new speaker launch

Harman International, the reputed American manufacturer of connected products for numerous industry verticals, has scarcely launched an all-new, highly advanced, voice-activated speaker in India, tentatively conferred as the Harman Kardon Allure, that is likely to brew a storm in India smart speaker market. Reportedly, the Connecticut headquartered tech player, now a fully-owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, has designed the speaker with an ambient light design and complete 360-degree sound. Furthermore, it has also been touted that the product supports the utilization of Amazon’s Alexa for operation.

Regarding the much-awaited launch, the Vice President, Lifestyle Audio Division of Harman India, Mr. Sumit Chauhan, has been quoted stating that the company is rather excited about the premiere of this much-sought-after product across the Indian sub-continent. Furthermore, he claims that as per research, music streaming is the primary digital voice service that is universally utilized, and Harman Kardon Allure, endowed with an iconic design, exceptional voice-enabled technology, and premium sound quality, is likely to deliver a spectacular sound experience through harnessing smart technology.

As per reports, the Harman Kardon Allure invokes Alexa, Amazon’s flagship voice assistant, to make purchases on Amazon, play music, book cab services, order food, read news, hear recipes, and more. The product, owing to the 360-degree installation provides sound in all directions and displays ambient lights that brightly glow and react to voice commands. Furthermore, the device apparently comes with Wi-Fi as well as Bluetooth support technology that would enable its connection to smartphones or tablets for wireless music streaming, making it one of the most sought-after products in smart speaker industry.

For the record, the Harman Kardon Allure, that was unveiled at the IFA 2017 in August, would soon hit India’s retail stores. The company has apparently promised exclusive availability of the speaker for Prime members on Amazon India, which experts say would further propagate the product’s popularity in India smart speaker market, despite its cost being fixed at an initial valuation of INR 22,490.
