Hydro Systems, a leading player in the global luxury plumbing fixtures market has recently announced that it has purchased a new manufacturing facility in McDonough, Georgia. According to the Henry County Development Authority, the company will be soon opening its new unit that would produce custom-made whirlpool bathtubs, shower pans, sinks & accessories.
Sources reveal that the new facility operations would create around 60 manufacturing jobs at the initial stage of the project. It is further anticipated to create more than 100 jobs within the first year. The plant allows Hydro Systems to have a new hub for manufacturing and shipping products to the Eastern US luxury plumbing fixtures market.
The Henry County Chamber of Commerce president and CEO, David Gill, in a statement was quoted stating that the company’s decision to invest in an Eastern Coast hub has turned out to be a “huge success” for the entire organization. Scott Steinhardt, Hydro Systems President and Owner said that Georgia is a prime & strategic location with regards to accessibility and logistics infrastructure. He further added that the local community would provide the company with skilled workforce for the job openings.
Experts speculate that the new Henry County facility will allow Hydro Systems to dramatically reduce the lead time on all the purchase orders of bathtubs placed in eastern United States, perhaps by weeks. Not just that, but the move is also likely to save customers money with minimum shipping costs.
Growing customer focus on smart homes and the need for luxury housing to improve lifestyle stand as the key factors driving luxury plumbing fixtures market growth, claim experts. They further state that Hydro Systems’ new manufacturing facility, in this regard would prove nothing but lucrative for the overall business growth.
The authority spokeswoman reveals the new manufacturing facility to be operational by the middle of 2018.
