MEC Scout Tarp Review

The Scout is a favourite option for ultra-light hikers. It also makes a fine small shelter for two people on a ski trip or a day trip that leads to a windy summit or lakeshore. The tough coated polyester is rugged and affordable, but not as crazy-light and silicone-treated fabrics. It is a versatile design that you can rig as a roof, or pitch at an angle to create a comfortable shelter from the wind.
