Microsoft’s new cloud data centers to boost MEA electronics industry

The electronics and media industry in Middle East seems to be gearing up with Microsoft announcing the launch of its first cloud data centers in UAE.  If reports are to be believed, the U.S. tech behemoth plans to open Middle East’s first data centers in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.  Allegedly, through these data centers, the tech giant would be offering enterprise-grade performance and reliability services via its flagship Microsoft Cloud platform from next year.

For the record, Microsoft is seen to be extremely optimistic and has been making big bets in MEA electronics and media market since the past two decades. Reportedly, the declaration of its new data centers in UAE marks Microsoft’s second expedition in the regional market, the first one being in South Africa few months back. Speaking of the decision, the regional head of the company has been quoted saying that making two consecutive significant attempts in less than a year depicts Microsoft’s unwavering commitment toward its regional consumers.

As per reports, Microsoft has been working closely with the regional tech giants in its cloud computing initiatives, that has allegedly opened up tremendous employment scope in Middle East Africa. Sources have categorically claimed that nearly 4000 startups supported these programs like Microsoft’s Cloud Society and   Microsoft Virtual Academy, assisting common people to develop marketable skills.

In fact, as per experts’ opinion, integration of Microsoft’s global cloud infrastructure with Dubai and Abu Dhabi data centers is expected to swamp the regional electronics and media market with global possibilities. Not just that, in all plausibility, it would bring forth new growth avenues, accelerate investments and subsequent job opportunities for the inhabitants of the Middle East in the coming years, cite sources.

Allegedly, Microsoft’s latest Cloud Solutions Provider program appears to be prompting its present network of 17,800 partners across the belt, to create a platform via which these solutions would be available locally.
