USA Basketball are camping out on a luxery boat in RIO (PHOTO)

While some teams are sruggling to get enough food in the Olympic Villiage, USA Basketball players are living in the lap of luxury.

The men’s and women’s U.S. basketball teams will stay in a massive luxury cruise line off the port in Rio de Janeiro during the Olympics. For the next two weeks, Team USA will call the Silversea Silver Cloud home.

The Silver Cloud is a 296-guest cruise that weighs over 16,000 tons. It includes a pool deck, panoramic lounge areas, fitness center and luxurious guest suites.

NBA player Andrew Bogut, who’s in Rio to play for his native Australia, tweeted a photo of himself “putting together a shower curtain so we can shower and not flood the place.”

“USA Basketball teams haven’t stayed in the Olympic Village since the 1988 teams did,” says the federation’s chief media officer, Craig Miller. He adds, “Our teams are extremely active in supporting their U.S. teammates.”

The elegant ship exudes a faintly Italian-inspired design scheme, with a lot of muted peach hues, wooden furnishings and finishings that subtly tie together one public space to the next, continuing on into most of the guest suites.

Let’s take a look inside, courtesy of Silversea Cruises.
