Cohesity, Hewlett Packard collaborate to offer secondary data solution

Cohesity, a California based enterprise storage company, has reportedly announced a new original equipment manufacturer (OEM) collaboration with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). Through this partnership, the companies aim to provide a jointly validated secondary apps and data solution on certified HPE servers to consumers around the world.

Apparently, this solution merges Cohesity software’s web-scale simplicity and efficiency with the density and power of HPE ProLiant and HPE Apollo servers. With a single, integrated solution this will allow customers to more effectively and efficiently reduce complexity and costs, acquire new insights and manage unstructured data growth.

Mohit Aron, Cohesity’s Founder and CEO, mentioned that this strong collaboration with HPE signifies the value of Cohesity’s platform and would bring the power of this combined solution to ventures around the world. HPE has committed resources like marketing, sales as well as technical support for advancing this shared vision to transform the way in which enterprises secure their data and put it to work.

Further from the reports, the joint solution offered by Cohesity with HPE tackles the difficulties of secondary data sprawl and infrastructure silos through combining all secondary apps and data on a web-scale, software-defined and simple platform. The platform extends from on-premise infrastructure to the branch or remote offices and the cloud.

Cohesity will leverage the global supply chain processes and systems of HPE under this OEM partnership, for rapidly accelerating customer sales and deployments, reliable sources mentioned. Cohesity and HPE could help customers in minimizing deployment risk, complexities, and costs by buying the complete, optimized and jointly validated Cohesity and HPE secondary data and apps solution.

Cohesity software is currently available through the HPE Complete program. However, the joint solution would purportedly be available in Spring 2019 for all the customers around the world, through HPE and its channel partners.
