A video of an enormous great white shark appearing to high five a scientist has gone viral. The shark named Deep Blue was swimming around a group of scientists that were studying sharks off the coast of Mexico’s Guadalupe Island.
As the great white shark approached the scientists who were in an open cage, one of the scientists began pushing the shark away from the pointy tips of the cage so the shark would not injure itself. It was at this moment the one of the shark’s fins appeared to give one of the researchers a high five right on his protruded hand.
The video has already garnered over seven millions views and is a viral sensation. Besides the seemingly cool shark high five, the video is also being credited with the largest great white shark ever being recorded on live video.

Deep Blue, now somewhat of a shark celebrity is a female shark that is over twenty feet in length. She was almost as big as the research vessel that scientists were traveling in which measured about 22 feet wide. Scientists also believe that Deep Blue is pregnant because of her swollen belly.
Other researchers who have viewed the video have a different opinion and think that the shark just had a major feast of elephant seals. Whatever the case may be, Deep Blue is one giant and cool great white shark!
