GN store to compete with Apple via launch of new wireless buds

GN store Nord A/S, a key manufacturer of hearing products & headsets, is projected to launch wireless earbuds to gain a major chunk of overall earphone & headphone market share, which is evaluated at USD 9.6 billion. According to reliable sources, the firm is combining the operations of Amazon’s Alexa with its new product and reducing the costs to increase its consumer base. Experts have claimed that the aim of the new product development is to compete with Apple’s Airpods business. A key official of GN’s audio segment has stated that the firm is trying to expand its product line and brand across the global earphone & headphone industry.

Reliable reports state that over many years, the firm’s hearing aid segment has been tremendously benefitted due to its association with Apple Inc. GN’s hearing aid business had also collaborated with Apple on its Bluetooth-like ear system that helps end-users to stream the music from their iPhones. Industry analysts have stated that it is not a competition between the tech firms, but it is a co-opetition among themselves.

According to reliable data statistics, nearly 9 lakh wireless headphones were sold in first six months of 2017 across the U.S. and Apple Inc accounted for 85% of the sales. It has even been observed that GN’s earphones manufactured earlier for athletes to check the heart rate & progress were costlier than that of Apple’s. It has been estimated that the audio segment of the latter contributes nearly 40% towards the firm’s overall revenue with the hearing aid segment accounting for approximately 60%.

Technocrats believe that with the launch of the new products GN store will maintain its market position while expanding its business across the consumer electronics sector over the next few years. In future, industry experts expect the firm to provide a greater challenge to Apple’s consumer electronics goods through effective product offerings at reasonable costs.
